German delegation to visit Iran for expansion of economic ties

Asre Khodro- For the second time within ten months, minister for economic affairs of Germany’s Bavaria State, Ilse Aigner, will travel to Iran on Sep. ۴ to boost trade ties.

    Reporting " Asre Khodro", The Sunday visit is her first visit since the implementation of the JCPOA and the removal of sanctions against the Islamic Republic in January.

    The 50-member delegation from the Bavaria State are active in the fields of automotive, construction, engineering, financial services, and environment technology, and will focus their three-day trip on financial issues as well as automobile manufacturing.

    Aigner had previously said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has many export opportunities for Bavaria and her state wishes to make use of these opportunities to further expand economic ties with the country. During her last visit to Iran in November, the Office of Economic Union of Bavaria was opened in Tehran.

    In addition to talks with bank representatives, the German minister is scheduled to meet with the industry minister and the head of the Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran known as IDRO Group. The meetings aim at strengthening business cooperation between the two sides. With a trading volume of more than 220 million euros, Iran is one of the most important partners of Bavaria in the Middle East.
